Lorden Oil Company

About

Lorden Oil Company ("The Home Climate Company") is a third-generation, family-owned fuel and home-comfort dealer serving southern New Hampshire and north-central Massachusetts from its Hollis, NH and Ayer, MA bases. The Lorden family business traces to the 1930s, when founder Charles "Pop" Lorden delivered wood and ice by horse and buggy; it added kerosene in the 1940s and grew into oil, propane, and HVAC under matriarch Josephine Lorden, and is now led by the third generation (grandsons Ted and Tim Jr.). Lorden delivers home heating oil, propane, kerosene, and diesel fuel, and offers residential, commercial, and builder propane. It runs a computerized automatic-delivery system, flexible budget and pre-paid (price-protection) payment plans, and 24-hour responsive service with staff on duty during cold spells. Lorden also repairs oil burners and installs hot-air and hot-water furnaces and air-conditioning systems. It is a BBB-accredited business (since 1993) rated A+, serving over 50 communities.
